Logitech started this whole keyboard case craze with their first keyboard case they made for the original iphone. While I love the case, I feel the same way about the keyboard. It’s a great product for a great price, but the trackpad and keyboard just don’t come together to be a complete package.

That is why I decided to build my own. I got my keyboard and trackpad from ebay for 20 bucks and it’s perfect for my iphone/ipad.

Well, I did get my keyboard from ebay for 20 bucks and my trackpad from ebay for 20 bucks, but the trackpad is made of plastic with a plastic screen that has a plastic keypad. So why am I even building this thing? Well, because I have two new i-pads that are going to need to be connected to my iphone.

I could have just bought a cheap trackpad and keyboard case and been done with it, but I wanted to build my own. And since I have two new ipads, I figured I could build it even though I would need a second one.

It’s not that hard to build a trackpad with a keyboard on it, but it is very, very hard to build a keyboard with a trackpad on it. I mean it’s not as difficult as it sometimes seems. It’s not really a big deal, but it’s a fact. That’s because the trackpad is so close to the keyboard that you can touch it any time you need to touch the screen or press a key.

This is one of those times where I think its a good idea to just build your own keyboard and trackpad because its so easy, and then use some cheap parts if you need it. If you like building your own, I got mine from the makers of the Logitech keyboard cases.
